Bellevue Summer Camp for 4th-6th Grade Girls Makes STEM Education Fun

Week-Long Camp is Fully-Funded by Local Gaming Company, FlowPlay,
and will Culminate in Project Showcase On Friday July 31

What:   Next week (July 27-31), Austin-based non-profit, Girlstart, is bringing their nationally recognized summer camp to Bellevue for a week-long learning experience in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). As many as 30 girls will participate in the camp, which will introduce
the 4th – 6th graders to the fun of STEM through innovative, hands-on learning challenges in a fun and supportive environment. With an “Under the Sea” marine biology theme, the girls will participate in various STEM activities throughout the week including designing and programing a sea turtle rescue computer game. The camp will culminate in a project showcase, where each girl will present her projects from the week.
