BEST IN THE WEST, BIG AWARD FOR BIG SKY RESORT

Big Sky Resort has been recognized as one of the 50 “Best in the West” for meeting properties by Meeting Focus magazine for the western region in their September issue. This marks the thirteenth year Big Sky Resort has been awarded the “Best in the West” out of the sixteen years Meeting Focus’ 55,000 planners have been voting.

Big Sky Resort has more than 55,000 square feet of meeting and function space, featuring the Yellowstone Conference Center, and is one of the largest facilities in the state. The versatile meeting facilities include the Lone Peak Pavilion outdoor reception venue and lodging accommodations from value to luxury for up to 2,000 guests.

Meetings Focus, with the largest meeting publication audience in the market, polls its readers on what hotels and resorts delivered superlative meeting experience. Properties are judged on the quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, high-tech services and equipment, recreational facilities and activities, the efficiency and helpfulness of staff, and overall value and experience.

“Every year our meeting planner readers select the properties that have gone above and beyond to provide great service to their groups,” said Tyler Davidson, chief content director of Meetings Focus. “These exemplary hotels and resorts are shining examples of meeting facilities that give them the distinction of being the premier meeting sites in their respective regions.”

Big Sky Resort provides productive meetings, scheduling efficiency, festive banquets and, most importantly, satisfied attendees. Big Sky’s meeting and convention clientele have been coming back to Big Sky Resort for up to 35 years, speaking volumes to the high level of consistent excellent service. That level of quality was suitable to host 2015 Pacific NorthWest Economic Summit (PNWER), 2011 Asian Pacific Economic Conference (APEC), and the President and Vice President of the United States in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Encouraging networking and making event schedules efficient, the tight knit Mountain Village at Big Sky Resort offers team building activities including a high ropes course, ziplines, paintball, skeet shooting, scenic lift, and more. The 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course is a short ride to the Meadow Village.

In winter, Big Sky Resort is the Biggest Skiing in America® with more than 5,800 acres and 4,350 vertical feet of seamless ski terrain. Big Sky has been awarded the 2015 Best Family Resort, 2014 Best Terrain, and 2013 Best Overall Resort by OnTheSnow.com’s Visitors’ Choice Awards.
