New CareClinic Opens in Bellevue Village

Bellevue residents and downtown workers seeking one-stop diagnosis, treatment, and pharmacy services have a new option for accessible care with the opening of a sixth CareClinic location in the newly renovated Bartell Drugs store in Bellevue Village across from Bellevue Square.

CareClinics provide retail-based walk-in medical care seven days a week, staffed by Group Health clinicians, for anyone 2 years and older. The average visit time including waiting — in the door and out — is less than 15 minutes.

In addition to fast, high-quality service, CareClinics offer patients affordability and a simple pricing structure. Most insurance plans can be billed — patients don't have to be Group Health members — with visits costing $75.
"Patients want quick access to care providers they trust for an affordable price, and CareClinics deliver," said Dr. Wellesley Chapman, Group Health medical director, innovation and development. "The continued demand for CareClinics in new neighborhoods stands as proof that we are meeting patients on their terms and providing convenient, accessible care that they’ve come to — and should — expect."

The new Bellevue Village location in downtown Bellevue joins five CareClinics already operating in Bartell Drugs stores in Ballard, Crossroads, Greenwood, Sammamish and University Village. The existing clinics have seen patients ranging in age from 2 to 102 with a variety of common ailments, including upper respiratory infections; warts, rashes and skin issues; pinkeye or conjunctivitis; ear infections; urinary tract infections; sinusitis; pharyngitis; and bronchitis.

"We've completed extensive expansion and remodeling of our Bellevue Village store, all with customer convenience in mind, and the new walk-in CareClinic is among the highlights," said Ken Mahoney, chief operating officer, Bartell Drugs. "Bellevue residents can look forward to a one-stop shopping experience for a range of health care services."

Due to consumer demand, Group Health and Bartell Drugs plan to continue expanding CareClinics throughout the Puget Sound region with an additional four new locations to be announced in 2016. For more information, visit CareClinic.
